Here's a dollars worth.
If you wan to tow something, buy the Jeep, if not but the 9-3. It is a no brainer. The Saab with a hatch and folding seats can haul lots, not as much as a jeep, but how often do you need a "little more" hauling capacity. If you want the Jeep buy the v-8 this way when the tranny starts to burn out, you can trash it in as little as one block--Jeep doesn't wnat to move, push the V-8 a little more and ensure it won't move at all. Bottom line, Chrysler has not done ANYTHING to change many of the known problems with the Jeep design, new skin = all new model. Wrong. New skin looks better, same mechanical problems with face lift. If you don't plan to tow anything, a jeep really hasn't much to offer except poor fuel economy, poor handling, ok ride, and resale value that will soon lo
se it's popularity when fuel costs keep rising.
I will say that the Jeep premium sound system with Infinity sounds better than the H\K in the Saab and has more power.
