Why the change of rides? Because I can fit TWO baby seats in a 9-3, but only one in an SVT (second baby is on the way). That and the fact that Ford quality leaves a lot to be desired. 19 recalls and counting, and the local Ford dealership was drooling just waiting for my warrenty to expire, which it does next month. But it was a fun, fast car, though fast econo car is a pretty good description. Besides, my wife was looking at the Honda Odyssey mini-van, and I needed something with a big trunk (for all the baby stuff) to compete with the mini-van, because there ain't no way I'm driving a mini-van! We were initially looking at the new 6-cylinder Subaru wagons, but I thought that $32k was a lot of money for a $25k car. Then we were looking at Volvo's wagons, after deciding 4-wheel drive was not crucial, and the salesguy mentioned that the SAAB half of the dealership had a major sales incentive going on. The rest is history, except for actually receiving the car, which is still a couple of weeks away (had to order a Steel Gray one, as they could not locate one).
