Saab is an engineer's car; not an accountant's car

I'll let you figure out the difference for yourself, but some things just cannot be quantified by a quarterly result. They need to be appreciated over the life of the asset.
By my own rekoning, of the five cars that figure into the top re-purchased marques, two are engineers' cars (Porsche and Saab). Two are accountant's cars (Toyota and Honda) and one wants to be a bit of both (Lexus).
I am neither an engineer nor an accountant. In fact, I am a promoter in the aviation business, which, of course, is Saab's original line of work.
If I had my choice, I would far rather be (and accept advice on things mechanical from) an engineer than I would an accountant. This is especially true of the safety and inegrity of the car I drive as I value my life and that of my family but I also value the thrill of driving, perhaps more than any other thing I do which requires hand-eye reflexes. After all, accountants rarely, if ever, are given medals for ingenuity, style or panache.
I also value the ability to put five or more large-sized garbage bags of leaves in the boot while tooling down to the compost with the dog.
Doe$ thi$ help?
