Yep, it depreciates faster than many others, but I took it as a big bargen and happy with my recent purchase of '99 9-3 5dr./ AT/ leather/ sunroof / 10K miles under $20K. That's over $1 per mile depreciation, and with SAAB's well-known longevity beyond 200K+, I don't think there are hell of wear and tear for that. I do most mech. works (unless AT must be taken apart) so no problems on the maintenance cost, which would be another factor of the portfolio. I'm gonna drive it for many many miles to really make it worth. There still may not be gain, but the smile on the boost is almost priceless to me. Somebody said it right, it's definetely an engineer's car!
