HI Guys,

I just want to give up an update on my attempts to remove the SAI system in my 96' 900S. GaryG and Nickshu had given me some good advice but bottom line is that so far all my manipulations have given me a CEL after a few hundret miles of driving. I only manipulated the relayC such that the main circuit cannot be closed by the system and topped off the vaccum line from the solenoid at the fire wall. I read on this board that Iveland had been successfull in removing the SAI in his 96' 900S but exactly the same method. So what am I doing wrong? As far as I understood your comments you all left the air pump connected to the plug, right?
However, I have not closed the main air hose going from the SAI valve to the exhaust manifold. Maybe it would be worth giving it a shot doing this together with the relay C removal.
What would be the easiest way to close the line? I was thinking to cut off a small piece of the line and use it as a plug with a screw in the appropriate diameter.

I would vey much appreciate your thoughts on that.
