I am sure he will laugh but I will give him the information about the sludge and how its affecting his car and thats the best I can do. Offering $500 is probably too much given the fact that I'm sure he hit something with the car. It has a lot of intense scratch marks where the paint has come off. Its been really beat up.
I'm going to park the car in my driveway and slowly work on it. Thats my purpose. I work in theoretical physics and engineering and while the sludge may seem like a horrendous defect to some, its quite interesting to me. But it is horrendous for the way Saab has handled the design flaw with their customers.
I had a 900 (which I lost to a drunk driver) that I got 40mpg out of and it ran so beautifully. I have a Volvo right now -- I got it up to 25 mpg on the highway. How? I work with the wiring of the car, sort of similar to the Toyota Prius, but it does wear down the battery more. Thats my next step.
