for a CEL to go out. This has been the case on my 9K, my wife's 9-5 and on the '99 9-3. Of course it depends on the code and if the error is still there, but I've found loose gas caps are good for 2-3 cycles. Same was true on the Exploder we used to have. It once took 5 cycles to clear from a gas cap.
The aging DI on the 9-3 was throwing a code for camshaft position sensor and when I put on the new DI it took 3 start-run cycles to clear.
Just my observations. And Anders, loved the sarcasm. Well done, mate.
