Hesitation, surging then stalling!

I drive a 1998 Saab 900S, 2.3 Liter, four-cylinder engine, non-turbo. No issues with my car until tonight, when she began riding a little rough. I've noticed some occasional hesitation then surging. When I stopped at my friend's house really quick, I left it running as I went inside his house really quick. When I left not more than 60 seconds later, I noticed that my car evidently stalled as the engine was no longer running (but all the headlights and dashlights on). She started back up right away, but on the way home she stalled as I drove up an exit ramp. I came to a complete stop; put my flashers on and started her right back up again. Now, I'm afraid to drive it.
Ironically enough I just had the spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, wires and air filter replaced. So it can't be a misfire or worn spark plugs. Plus I've been running her with some Lucas Oil fuel additive so it can't possibly be dirty fuel injectors...or can it?
Tonight was the first night in a year that it dropped down to below freezing. Perhaps some dry gas additive might help? Also, I did not change my fuel filter either. Could that possibly be the culprit? A bad fuel filter allowing something to perhaps get clogged along the fuel lines?
Any advice and help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! =)
