I bought a 2000 Viggen Wed. with new motor. Left me stranded on the highway with shredded serpentine belt next morning. Seller fixed that (and charged me for the tow and parts), but with wheel off, one mechanic showed me a tear in the boot and says an axle problem. Seller says he's crazy, but the car now makes a banging pop when braking. Check engine light on indicated camshaft position sensor which equals DIC or crankshaft in this car. Seller says airbag light on will go off after cycle. I drove 350+ miles to get this car. It's Saturday. Can't get service or out of here until Tuesday if I'm lucky. Guy who sold me the car says it's my problem now. Can I drive this car with the engine light on and the banging? It left me stranded by the side of the highway day 1, so I'm a bit paranoid, but I really need to get home. Had already spent $2500 on rental cars since the Viggen was supposed to be delivered in one month and it was over 3 months. Hate to spend more on top of whatever it will cost to fix my 'new' car, but...
Input anyone?
