A poping noise like you describe is usually caused by a worn suspension bushing or ball joint. Do you hear the noise going over speed bumps? Given that your car has an axle problem, it could be the axle as well. In fact, I once installed a reman Cardone axle on my sisters car and it would pop going over speed bumps and when braking hard (sort of intermitent/ didnt happen all the time). I guess the weight transfer to the front wheel caused it. Anyways, we replaced the axle with another reman Cardone axle and all was good.

Now, moving on to your situation. Although it seems bad now, most the issues your having are are common failures and easy fixes for a good mechanic. You need to find a mechanic you can trust to look over the car, find out whats wrong with it, and make a plan with you to fix the things that need to be fixed. I don't know who you bought from but they probably aren't qualified to work on your car. Instead, ask them for compensation after the real mechanic has dont his thing.

The Direct Ignition cassette was a recall item on Trionic7 cars (yours is) so call your local Saab dealer with your VIN and you might get rewarded with a FREE DI cassette installed.
