I forgot to mention - When I put in new Mobil1 (10w30), I checked the viscosity and was surprised that it was only slightly more viscous than the old oil.
Why would the Triangle Light and Oil Light come on when the oil is completely full?
Oil sludge is blocking the intake screen or pick-up hose (hopefully my CD2 detergent helped)
Oil pump is bad or going bad (I've put 60 Highway miles on after changing the oil and have not seen a flicker of a problem)
Oil was dangerously thin and a sensor noticed.
What else might it be?
What sensors are tied to that Oil light? Just oil pressure or is it more sophisticated than that?
Does the oil light ever come on without the Triangle Light? If so, what added bit of information does the Triangle Light tell us?
This morning I got a Fill Coolant message. So, I did, but it was only about half a reservoir low. If that happens again, then I know I either have a leak or it is getting into the engine/oil.
