For Saab owners, myself included, "quirks" is just another name for poor design and engineering. I just wonder if Acura or Lexus owners can change their own fog lights or instead have to take their cars to the shop to have the front fascia disassembled to replace a bulb. That's right a BULB, not the fog light itself, a bulb. And as bulbs are prone to do, they burn out. So you would think that Saab designers/engineers would take some classes in "human factors" (NASA speak-ergonomics) and design the vehicle for, not just ease of maintenance, but just the ability to maintain the vehicle without major headaches. Local Saab dealer quote for both fog light bulbs to be replaced: $180+tax. Perhaps Saab/GM intentionally designs vehicles in the manner so that owners have to take their vehicles back to the Saab dealership in order to be ripped-off. So if your are thinking about a previously owned Saab, know what you are in store for... Potential New Saab owners, LEASE. Enjoy your Saab "quirkiness".
