I just spent a couple of hours changing my foglight bulbs and trying to change the cabin air filter. Boy was it a bad day! The Europarts store gave me the wrong filter so my wipers are in my hatch until I get the right filter tomorrow. Also, I replaced both bulbs and NEITHER OF THEM WORK so I also have the under-fascia covers in my hatch until I figure out the problem.
The reason it took me so long to get the covers off was because I don't have ramps and my driver set is too long to fit under the car while loosening. So I had to use the bit mounted in vice grips to remove all those fasteners. It is a pain to do if you don't have proper equipment or can't lift the car.
I guess I'll have to check for voltage at the connector to the foglight. Anybody else experienced this kind of failure? Could it have been a short?
Advice or help would be appreciated,
Atul
