Ok, you guys are making me nervous. I just bought a 1995 Saab 900 SE V6 two months ago. I have never owned a Saab before, so far I LOVE it! But after reading all of the posts about staying away from the v6 I'm a little nervous. I paid $6500 for my lovely red saab - 95,000 miles, came with snow tires, all of the bells and whistles. I had an oil leak fixed before I purchased the car - I think it was a gasket that was replaced. I just called a dealership to find out how much the 95,000 mile scheduled maintenance would cost - he estimated about $600. YOW. Not feeling very confident about this dealer though - I asked about the maintenance records for my car and he said it was a 4 cylinder engine. I didn't think that was right so I went and popped the hood, sure enough - v6 2.5 liter. I asked about just replacing the camshaft belt and he said I didn't have one on a 4 cylinder. I think he just didn't want to do the "free" service.
Someone give me some words of encouragement...
