Sorry to pester you again but I'd posted the other day as I'm planning on claying and then going with Klasse AIO, but am having some difficulty figuring out exactly what kind of polish (if any?) to use in-between.

To refresh you on the car: It's silver and from 1999, and my assumtion (not knowing much about detailing) was that it would be beneficial to use some sort of very mild polish to remove any fine scratches, light oxidation, etc. before applying the Klasse.

For what it's worth, the finish appears to be in very good condition -- I just bought it off a lease 6 months ago -- and there are no swirl marks or anything to speak of. Sure, a few light scratches but nothing much, and quite frankly I have no idea if there's any oxidation or not.

So...you'd recommended both 3M and Meguiar product lines, but at least going with 3M, I can't quite figure out which product you were referring to or what would be best. Their Imperial Hand Glaze seems like it may be too gentle and won't really prep the finish while I get the impression Swirl Mark Remover for Light Cars might be too harsh. One car care place wrote me not to use the Swirl Mark Remover if I don't have swirl marks, and furthermore, another place wrote that they hadn't found anything that gets along well with the Klasse AIO and that there had been numerous clouding problems.

Do you or anyone else have any recommendations here for a specific product? And has anyone actually had any clouding problems from using Klass AIO with other products?? I kind of assumed the Swirl Mark Remover would be the better choice from above simply because I'm guessing the Imperial Hand Glaze doesn't provide much better polishing than the Klasse itself, but I'm too confused by all the info!

Thanks so much for everyone's patience and help.
