btw I have the same issue with these wheels. Ive not found a good solution except for sending it out to a wheel shop for refinishing, which is a bit out of my price range right now.
I may try sandblasting the rim with a low-abrasive media. something that will remove the clear coat but not mar the aluminum surface. (I hear walnut shells is a good media, also various plastic or glass beads)
at this point I have nothing to loose.
