I almost stopped by the event. We dealership personnel had gone that morning, but the Laker game called and I wasn't real comfortable with showing up at an event where I technically wasn't invited.
Marvin K. Brown has been San Diego's Cadillac dealer for 53 years, 37 years in our present location in Mission Valley. The Brown family, Jim who is Marvin's son (Marvin died in '67) and Jenny, Jim's daughter, run a swell place. They've embraced Saab completely since getting the franchise from a local Ford dealer. The old guys never built a showroom. Marvin K. Brown has spent $700,000 remodeling one of their four buildings to Saab specs and it's gorgeous. Ed Peper, Saab V.P., says it's the nicest Saab showroom in the nation. The Brown's, along with Jim Duda or service manager really do care about their customers and insist on a quality experience for all their customers. They also treat their sales staff, that'd be me again, with dignity, respect and fair pay. Quite a classy outfit overall. I highly recommend them. Saab has a great home in San Diego. I plan on being here quite awhile.
