Japanese cars which look remarkably alike in so many ways, IMHO. We are approaching the point where you could take all the badging off the cars and it would be difficult to tell them apart. This is too bad, IMHO, as it was nice to have something distinctive. One of the great things about C900s and 9000s ( and even the NG 900 and original 9-3s) is that they are quite distiinctive: you knew it was a Saab. Much as I love the 9-3SS and 9-5, they aren't quite as unique in appearance.
But why is this? Lack of imagination? Too many people going to the same design school? The push for aerodynamics is part of it, and so are limitations on functionality--fitting people and stuff into a box.
What do you think are the most unique or distinctive cars today? (not the exotic stuff, the regular cars we see all the time). What do you look at and think that is definitely a _______. As opposed to that's either a ____ or a _____ or a____.
