In this age of simplicity, it is the subtleties that differentiate products. It's all about variations in proportion and details. We are moving towards less extraneous elements on design because these are innefficient. Tailfins make cars look different, but they would never be designed in today.
It just takes discerning people to notice that "all cars DON'T look alike".
