I have owned Saabs since 1980 (80 900T, 85 SPG, 85 900T and 2001 Viggen). I have two beautiful, seal point Birmans. Great personality, loving, long hair but doesn't mat. Act like dogs--Plays fetch, follows me around, talks to me. Not too demanding and very trainable. Known as the Sacred Cats of Burma, they have their own mythology. You can find them at cat shows, but they are not cheap. Check them out on the Web. Why is a Birman like a Saab? Most people who test drive a Birman, love them and want to take them home for good. Good luck, and please take care of what ever cat you get. Keep indoors only. And all cats require maintenance just like the Saab. Nails clipped at least every two weeks. Brushed each day. Need to play twice each day. Clean the litter boxes twice each day and provide fresh water.
