or it may be very minor.
We have Saabs partly because they are so safe, but if you are buying solely on safety there are other cars that have equally good ratings.
Drive a safe car safely and you minimize the chance of accidents. And that's what they are chance, for the most part--Wrong place at the wrong time. If it's a little Hyundai or even a Saab that hits you and your side air bag saves you that's fine. But if it's a large pick-up or SUV the side bag may not do so much. You can't go around worrying about it.
