Good question. WIS is not clear on this and the parts guys have no clue. The load leveling is a kit with springs and shocks. The shocks include a bellows which I assume has something to do with the load leveling. It is not an electronic leveler, but rather a hydraulic shock leveling system. From the WIS it appears to be a replacement system. If the new springs don’t help, Saab will have to pay all over again. The dealer/SaabUSA/rep refuse to entertain the load levelers under warranty even if I pay the extra cost. I have no idea why this would be. I got HP to let me buy a bigger hard drive by paying the difference. The Saab trio says the load leveling is not a factory option, but an aftermarket accessory item and therefore not warranty eligible and that Saab only has to put the stock parts back, even if it doesn’t fix the problem for good. Eventually I will be out of warranty or sick of buying tires and then it will be my problem. You can tell they really want me to buy another Saab. Heck the almost identical 9-5 may still be around next time. You would think they would want to keep me in a Saab especially if the out of pocket cost to them is no more than the normal warranty bill.
