I am sure this topic has been discussed a few times before. Many of you have switched as I found out some of my friends have. We are only now seriously considering the option.

Currently we have the landline through Verizon. We pay $23 to $25 a month as every member in the family has a cell phone. The landline service is the very basic.

We have Comcast cable modem so switching to internet phone will not be a problem I presume. What is the good and bad of internet phone? Being able to keep my existing phone number will be an important consideration. Cost is another.
