I have Vonage, it's cheap, quite a few excellent features, but it's not notably reliable, the hardware is from the lowest bidder, and support has become a knee-slapping joke. It is useful for business, since with simul-ring to my cell and some of the more advanced forwarding features, the reliability of the line isn't important. I also have a virtual line so I can use the software on the PC to have a line anywhere in the world that has broadband.

I have a landline, too, with free nationwide long distace from Verizon, but what's ironic is that the long distance portion of the 'land' line is clearly being routed over VOIP.

So, I'll keep a landline for the reliability, but only one; the rest will all be VOIP or cell.
