The woman in charge of IDS is certainly pleasant to talk to--just don't expect her to return your call, even if she sends you her business card.
It is not the sales rep's responsibility to handle the IDS delivery. At least that's not the message I got from the IDS paperwork that includes the contact info for IDS. So, I don't understand your comment about "schmoozing". If IDS sends me the paperwork with the due date of the car and their contact info, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to return my call and tell me why my car is over a week late and when I can expect to see it.
My local dealer has been helpful and sympathetic, but in the end it's IDS who's in control, not my local dealer.
