The answers are no to both questions.
The original post was intentionally provocative. On my motorcycle, I
change oil every 2,500 miles. I stick with 15,000 OCI on my car because
that's all the manufacturer will pay for.
I agree with your logic and there's no diagreement. It's just that the
best way to get a good discussion going is to intentionally exaggerate
one's position so that others will chime in to balance out the debate.
Posting on saabnet again brings back fond memories. :-)
