Is the avatar a new member feature?
It seems to me you have to justify replacing something with something else. The common reasons for window replacement are not accurate when dealing with older windows. If you had a house form say the 70s then by all means, replace away as there is no way to restore or improve those windows and the new windows will be better. When you have a house from the 30s and you replace the windows you are going from a vintage Rolls Royce in need of a paint job to a new Kia. You could argue about the extent of the difference but the general direction is clear.
Yes, in the end we will all be dead and people have made changes throughout the years to most homes so one could argue it makes little difference. Most of those changes would have been better left undone and the homes left more original. What is old will be new and original windows are timeless.
