I've owned MB, BMW's, and Audis and they're nice cars. But I've always viewed Saab as an ALTERNATIVE to those cars. Going head to head with these guys isn't the way to go--they just have too many resources. The current 9-3, the Turbo X, the 9-4, and the new 9-5 all have the potentiial to be solid "base hits." And that's something Saab needs. But Saab could also stand to "whack one out of the park" with at least one model, but they aren't going to do that going head to head. They need to "hit 'em where they ain't," with something that no one else has. I think that something is the iconic C900, which is the car almost everyone thinks of when they think of Saab. If they can come up with one car that they can sell for full list all day long, with waiting lists and lot of buzz it could spread to the rest of the line. BMW did it with the Mini Cooper, I think Saab could do it with the C900.
