I've never bled using the brake pedal; I got on of the pressure bleeders. I read on the boards that pumping the pedal is a way to damage the MC if you go too far, and having had no experience with this I'm afraid to damage anything.
So, shall I just bleed the first time with the pressure bleeder in the correct sequence, then do a bit of pedal pumping? What do I do at that point? Put a piece of 2X4 and have a helper pump the pedal while I bleed again in the same sequence? I've really not much of a clue on how to do it using the pedal.
That was such a silly mistake to leave the valve open!
