one other thing I've noticed is many modern cars have headrests that are 1)very tall and 2) permanently canted forward... they drive me crazy! I think it is to meet iihs measurement ratings + for active headrests... but the 9-5 headrest is very safe (and active), not unnecessarily bulky + comfortable! c900 headrest isn't active like the 9-5, and doesn't meet the iihs ratings crap, but it was designed to reduce whiplash injuries, and in fact it was designed to be positioned lower than iihs numbers force a modern headrest (+ it is designed to compress in an impact)... the advantages of these lower but safe designs (in addition to comfort) is you can actually see around them to check blind spots + avoid collisions in the first place!
when it comes to seats, Saab has been ahead of the game for many years...
