Yep, had an auto as well. I really couldn't find any fault with the car whatsoever. I think a lot of people will be inclined to compare it to a MINI and take issue with details, but considering the most expensive 500 is the same price as the cheapest MINI I think that's probably a faulty comparison. I *hustled* mine over California Highway 17, which is a steep, twisty road. Never had a problem with power, brakes, or handling. It was a great drive from all aspects - performance, economy, and comfort. I wasn't nice to the loud pedal and still managed 33mpg, which I'm pretty happy with. Parking it in downtown San Francisco was pretty awesome, too. :)
I'm interested to see how the turbo Abarth version goes, but the naturally aspirated version didn't leave me wanting - light weight and a six speed auto are good companions for a small engine.
