I wouldn't think it would happen to you or our daughter being it happend only once to me, and I've tried to get the same car that it happend in to do it again and it dosent. Every Chevy Colbolt owner haven't had this issue happen to them only a slim few. Sounds like the extra weight on the key ring was to blame.
I wouldn't expect a Saab with the center key ignition would have the problem. FYI Saab fan be cautious becouse it can happen by very very lightly touching the top of the ignition key while crusing down the road. But again I can't get the car it happend in to do it again.
You miss understand me, in thinking I think Saab is crap on the contrary. I adore Saabs it's why I have a collection of them. The ignition problem is very real comming from someone that it's happend to. this might not be the soul reason GM killed the brand but it's a huge one. It wouldn't suprise me if you went your hole life along with your entire family's life driving Saabs day in and out and never having the ignition key shut the car of while driving by slightly touching the top of the key. Becouse in a daily Saab driver and can't get the same car to mimic the event.
My comments on the 20,000$ car having cheap plastic dident mean I'm saying the cars crap. Becouse in fact it's a 35,000$ car with cheap plastic interior. How do I know I own the 40,000$ car with cheap plastic and a 35,000$ car with cheap plastic. These are GM's new sale prices. Now days our car can go for as little as 20,000$ with very few miles. That disn't change the fact that there's cheap plastic in it and it's painted crappy silver. I'm not saying the cars crap but the chincy plastic is.
Even though I can't get my car to turn off again I know the problem exists dosent matter to me if you and your family don't but if the problem is there it would need to be addressed. Funny how the Colbolt recall was delayed untill after Saab meet its fate.
FYI Saab while flying down the road make it a habit every now and then to slightly touch the top of the ignition key, and you might get luck one of these days. You'll lose power steering and will have to come to a complete stop to restart the car. So if the motor dies while doing this make sure your not in the center lane.
("" spell check will change entire words, I've seen my post say world' where the word ""would"" was intended not much I can do about it untill Scott lets non members edit""
By the way, if you don't know what cheap plastic looks like, look at a 50gallon plastic garbage can they sell at low's or home depot then look in your car. You'll see a vague resemblance except your paying 20,000$ or wait 35,000$ to drive around in it.
The car having cheap plastic has no reflection on how I personaly feel about the car. My feelings about Saab is redundant in this topic. The facts are the facts.
