Hmmm,
AUDI 3.0 30V
6 Cylinder
90deg V angle (cut V8 block)
nearly 3000cc
5 valves per cylinder (total of 30)
timing belt
220Hp
300NM Torque
Nice and but not very usefull...
SAAB 2.3 HOT
4 cylinder
Inline 4
2290cc
Turbocharged
timing chain
Keep power up to 10000 feet
4 valves per cylinder (total 16 valves)
230Hp (240 in overboost)
350NM (370 in overboost)
Simple and effective ;)
Not sure what the point is that Audi is trying to get accross:
Let me guess:
a) We need 14 more valves for less power
b) 2 cylinders are spare in case some break down
c) 90 deg V angle cause this way we can put in a blance shaft
which would not be needed on a 60deg angle engine
d) We need all those valves and clinders to sound smart
e) More valves is better as more people smash their engines
and buy new ones
f) We have all that steel and we don't know where to put it
cause our A2 and A8 are made out of Aluminium
g) This is to prepare you for our new 6Cyl with 120 valves
h) We get a good deal on valves from our supplier
i) We rather use a belt so you can bend all those valves
Pick your choice... LOL
Regards,
Coolknight
