It's hard to imagine their use in grocery store sorties but I can see it coming.
Monster truck madness.
Avoid like the plague.
There was a study published in NYT commissioned by the automakers on the differences between SUV drivers and minivan drivers. It showed (from memory) a tendency to the aggressive side of human behavior by SUVers. These are people who find they need a vehicle for survival against the harsh elements, including nasty humans against whom, the more ammo, the better. These are people less inclined to be faithful to their wives and families than minivan drivers and more socially isolated. The TV ad that shows the Ford SUV driver poised to take on the big rock hill pictures it best.
