Played burned CD's w/o problems...

I've used all sorts of burned CD's (CD-R not RW) in my 9-5 without a single problem. It was a big disappointment that it didn't support CD-RW. Oh well.
I do have a ton of MP3's and really wish I could use those... The Rio through the tape deck works but my PMP300 just doesn't have enough memory (good for a run, not much else). I'd really like one of those hard disk based systems but damn are they expensive (http://www.empeg.com - Cool unit).
Incidentally, I've also used my burned discs in my BMW factory cd player more times than I can count without any problems. In fact, I've been using CD-R media in many aftermarket units and factory units (BMW, Saab, Saturn, Pioneer, multiple Sony's) for 5+ years now without a single problem.
Further, I don't know anyone who has had problems with the exception of some CD-Players that predate 1996. CD-R support prior to 96 is questionable. 2 friends have nearly identical Pioneer changers at home, 1 plays them, 1 does not. Only visual difference seems to be that one has a 1/4" headphone jack and the model # is 1 digit different. Oddly, my Technics top-loaded changer from 1989 or thereabouts plays burned discs perfectly. As I said, support is questionable.
