They are pretty close, but the Audi is bigger in the back seat where I need to place child seats. Rear leg room is the best number I can find to explain that the back to front seat is bigger in the Audi - 36.6 in the Saab and 37.3 in the Audi. Luggage room is slightly bigger in the Saab. I took two child seats with me on all test drives and rear facing they fit best in the X5 and the Audi - Saab was third best, but the contour of the rear seats made it a little cramped. The ceiling is also lower in the Saab so it feels smaller.
I was really impressed with the base 9-5 wagon pep. I drive a Viggen daily and thought the base wagon would suffer serious turbo lag, but it didn't.
