I would guess that many of us have owned VWs and have graduated from them to SAAB. I am a long-time fanatic of VWs and have had 5 but chose the 9.3 for several reasons over the Passat. First, VWs have become too mainstream. THroughout the 90s, VWs were pretty unique (heck, they talked about pulling out of the US market in 1990 - 92). Now, you see them everywhere. Second, VWs seem to be the choice for many Gen X boy racer types. I would love a Jetta VR6 but look who is driving those generally. THird, the 9.3 is the entry level SAAB while the PAssat is the top of the VW line. It's always nice to have the smallest house on the block and let the neighborhood raise you property value instead of having everyone drag you down. Get the analogy? I may look at he PAssat v8 in the future but I don't see going back unless it's an Audi. Josh
