But I think they would be kinda frustrating to drive in most of the US simply because there aren't many places to *really* use them. Haven't driven one. I think the frustration factor goes for all the really fast cars, including Porsches and Ferraris, which have always been my 2 dream marques. Shoot, I rarely have the chance to push my 9K much over 100.
Mike Lynch describes Corvettes as being a bit brutish and this is probably true. But then brute power can be an awful lot of fun! I'm thinking about a project car and have been looking at the Factory Five Cobras, which give you a 2000 lb car and as much power as your wallet can muster. Definitely high on the "brutish" scale. I met one guy who has a 547 hp motor in his, which will make a Corvette seem slow.
The other thing I think of is that Corvettes are cop magnets. You rarely see them driven much over the limit. I think most people who buy them are just posing, posturing or something. IMHO anyway.
