I work for Delphi (used to be part of GM) and have seen and driven a few. But I haven't driven the Z06. I've had the previlege of driving one in the proving grounds (Meaning drove fast and not worry about cops :). What a blast. Power at ANY speed. Excellent handling, though not as quick handling as S2000. On top of that, you can fit two full size golf bags in the trunk! HAH. Can't do that with S2000! The car was built more for the mature (40+) audience, as most owners are of older generation. Therefore, you get an option in the suspension setting for more smooth ride. Also the golf bag hauling capability. One thing you gotta watch out. The Good Year run flat tires. There are no spare tires in the C5. They rely on the Run Flats. That is why golf bags can fit. But also at the same time, if you are on a trip and you get a flat tire, the drivable range is only 50 miles. Also, no tire shops will touch the Run Flats, as they are NOT to fix the flats. Also, hardly anyone keeps them in stock, not even dealers. So you are 'STUCK' if you venture out more than 50 miles from your home. Now, I KNOW that Corvette groups take road trips during summer. I wonder if they have ran into the same problem that I had... As far as plasticky interior, I agree, but also it is one of the best cockpit layout that I've seen in a sports car. It is a bargain, when considering value per dollar. Plus, these vettes don't depreciate that much.
