All of which are characteristics of a Saab hatchback. I don't need a big car and now that I don't get out of the city like I used to, ruggedness has fallen a little lower on the list of priorities.
I know a TT is probably a bad idea, but I think they are sexy little cars with a practical side. 1.8T for economy and performance, and likewise with the AWD. Before my 900 I had an MX-6, which was my favorite car ever; I see some of that with the TT
Something about the Protoge5 has been catching my eye lately, probably because they are everywhere. I haven't driven one yet, but I hear that they are great little cars to drive. And to boot I would still have the wagon to haul bigger stuff.
The same is true for the Outback Sport, but with the AWD I could use for the same backcountry outdoors activities that I've been using my 900 for, its probably even a bit more capable. I also really like the way Subarus drive. I have heard horror stories about clutches and head gaskets though.
I like the idea of an S70 as a nice highway cruiser, but the truth is that if I were to go this direction I would probably opt for a 9-5. The desire for something different remains and I think that is what is drawing me to the Volvo. I would totally go for a previous generation S40 if you could get them in the U.S. with a man. trans.
The 9-3 doesn't take a whole lot of explanation here. Though, I will say that I am sorta in the mood for something different.
