I'm very good at spending other people's money but I have to know how much I have to play with! (Oddly enough, I have a very difficult time deciding on cars myself - we're in need of replacing my wife's convertible soon and can't decide what to get; in fact, I can't even narrow it down between sedan, wagon, or SUV!)
Based on the list though I think I would go for the SAAB 9-3 (obviously) and the Protégé5. I would be very hesitant to recommend the TT due to the ownership costs and like Justin mentioned, it's much different than the others at least in size and practicality. I like the Volvo but just don't know much about them. I don't like the Subaru just because I'm not a Sub fan (outside of the WRX).
The 9-3 would be nice but it may be a bit too much like your current ride. I have never really been able to go from one car to a similar one but that's just me. I like a bit of variety. The 9-5 might be enough of a change though.
The Mazda would be a great car - very easy to live with and own. Slightly small but that has its advantages too. Reliability would be stellar and if you could find one, I would recommend the Speed version of it. Kind of rare as I recall (this was before the Speed line took off with the Mazda3 & 6) but it would be very fun with it's light-pressure turbo. And if I had additional funds, the Mazda3 line is really, really good.
