Can't say that I enjoy doing it in any shape or form due to in my eyes an insane way of using more bolts than needed hidden under wire harnesses and a rear motor mount wedged in by steering rack and subframe.
Comparing a Saab OG9-3 and the 850/70 you wonder why we don't see droves of Saab transmissions littering the streets since Volvo decided that it needed three times as many bolts and brackets to hold it together even though they are using the same style transmission.
Since the subframe has to come down you need to figure out how to suspend the engine from a cross bar and how to deal with the steering rack.
Luckily I don't do too many transmission swaps.
You can get VIDA or the older VADIS program all day long for almost nothing at auction sites. Than it is just a matter of loading and figure out how to use it.
