It's a GM 4L30E, GM's lightest duty transmission. Zero maintenance, and almost zero available rebuild parts. They are as close to a disposable transmission as was ever built. GM only used it on one car - the Opel Omega/Cadillac Catera.... every other car that used it was not GM. I think that speaks volumes about what GM thought about it! They are generally good for ~150k, ~200k if you're lucky, although on the four cylinder they may do better. Most cars that used it were six cylinders (Isuzu Rodeos, 3ers, etc.) which pushed its torque handling. The 1.9l probably has a lot more headroom. ;)
