I didn't look at the Aero article, but if that includes a "weighed" weight, that could be another 180 lbs over SAAB's listed.
CAR and Driver's 3,300 lbs indicated for the AWD sure looks like brochure specs, so add another 150 lbs for fluids.
The Encore is so much smaller than a 9-5, seems more comparable to a 9-3.
