Makes sense if you do not have a decent tow vehicle, I looked at some class C's built on a Mercedes platform 5 years ago.. seemed small for a trip over a week or two for more than 2 but drove and handled pretty well. I have driven buses and trucks so the size was not new for me. If you are only planning to own it for 6-9 mo then get as big as you feel comfortable with. Some of the big class A's are pigs to drive anywhere off a highway and even there they can be a handful while C's are much more manageable. If you have never driven a class A rent one for a weekend and see if you like it and have fun.
