This is what I came up with:
http://youtu.be/hRNkvyeFktM
It is TBI, does have a 4-speed auto. Its worn from, um, existing, but really not beat up. The worst of its cosmetics is the very back right corner, which may have been hit. The corner is wrinkled, the roof is damaged, and water got in there and discolored the ceiling. It's been patched, but the patch is failing. Otherwise, it's quite clean, just old (paint faded, stripes peeling a little). The rear tires are good, front tires are not and need to be replaced. We tested the generator (an Onan 4000) and the house AC. It's been in storage for five months, and the engine battery was unfortunately dead so we could start it - it had been driven to where we looked at it, but not long enough to charge the battery. Thus we don't know if the dash AC works - or really if the engine or transmission works. A recovery option was not forthcoming - we drove the Fiat to look at it, so couldn't even jump it. DOH! Anyway, overall it's solid just old. The interior is quite clean - a little peeling wood veneer on a shelf by the window, the aforementioned stain on the ceiling (bedroom), and some stains on the carpet. But nothing is wrecked - all the drawers/cabinets/etc. are in good shape. Microwave, oven, fridge, and stove all work. We did not test the plumbing.
I'm going to shop for tires and I have some questions about some juice on the left rear wheel (maybe leaking something, maybe just moisture picking up grease and dirt).
It's exactly the right size, has exactly the right features. I'm sold on the concept, if not this particular truck. It was parked on a slope, so I immediately see the value of leveling jacks, but that may not be an issue for our planned uses so it may not matter right now. Otherwise, it's a good fit. I'm just not sure how battery+tires+damage affects its immediate price, nor how the mileage, lack of leveling, and damage affects future resale.
More research is called for, but this was a great start.
