Big Dilemma (LONG!)

ok here is my dilemma. I have fallen in love with the C900s, but i am a poor college student, so cost is very important to me. I really want an SPG but don't know which year i should get. I know there is a performance increase in the 1990 & 91's but is it woth the extra money for the newer year. Parts will also be new too i guess. I am looking to tune the car to 200 - 230 hp( im very new to this but it seems like a reasonable goal). will the extra 10 hp in the 90+'s help much or will it be moot with the performance upgrades? is there going to be much more part wear in an 89 than a 90 (with similar miles). any advantage in the 90's over 85+'s? any feedback would be much appreciated. Remeber cost is a big issue in this. Thanks for your 2 cents ( dollars would be appreciated too :-) ) thanks - Jordan2 (not same as other jordan i have seen on the BB's)
