Thanks for all the replies. I have a dremal too, I will try whatever I think will be easier to get in the hole, depends on how the stud is broken.
I was also told a reverse drill bit slightly larger than 8mm will spin the broken stud out 8 out of 10 times... I will try that first probably.
I like the idea of short studs. Can someone tell me where to locate all short studs? I like the idea of pulling my turbo or manifold or intake pipe without pulling it all apart, John
