my 3071r works great on my SPG & gives me about 3500 RPM's at 22 PSI
my reason for flipping..... the turbo would be to close to distributor & I was worried about melting it :) Also the concern that the turbo would not get proper oil due to how high the turbo sits.
I am only at 310-320 crank HP at 22 PSI & if I used a smaller turbo to get that power I might need to run 30 ish PSI which I do not want to do. The only instance so far that I do not like my turbo is turn 7 at Putnam where I am just a little out of the powerband due to a slow speed turn, 45 ish mph. I know I can carry more speed (my first time with the car there at 100%) which I will work on next time that I am there which only a few mph will help a lot. I can also just get some hoosiers which should easily give me enough speed to stay in the powerband but I want to work with what I have first.
My biggest issue is how much my power craps out on me at higher RPM's, I need some cams :(
