WoW... And I thought I had some long post :-) I have to agree and was pleasantly surprised at my own ng900 verts ability to launch off the line once I figured it out. My first pass ever was a 2.6 60' at 14.7 at 106.73mph.

Then some tuning and some pre-load of the engine by slipping the clutch with the heel-toe brake-gas pedal method and got down to the 2.3-2.4 range, then some more rebound in the front suspension, some drag radials, some weight out then more rebound in the front, rears full hard, bam 2.1's and one 1.62

It can be done and I beat all kinds of rwd cars if like you said, they were not "great drivers" that is part of the game in my opinion, driver skill counts in a race!

I had lots of fun and the best part of beating up on those el-caminos and fire-hawks and porche's and evos and jetta's was doing it in the only saab out there and the fact it was a sleeper convertable made it even funnier :-) That had a whole new feel to it. Many people were astonished they just got beat by a saab of all things :-) and a vert...

The Nissan Skyline from Japan. The driver said "I have to give you props for beating me, if you win you win you were able to just boost right by me, I have 309whp, you must be either 400bhp and 4000lbs or 320whp and 3000lbs". I said the latter was pretty darn close, he was maybe dead on right... He had a 2.5 60' in our race and said he was still having trouble shifting with his left hand, rhd.

Think how I felt having just beatin this Nissan Skyline! A win is a win and saabs can win in many cases, especially at altitude!
